My parents were very good friends of Sue's parents. Sue's Dad was a barber and had his shop down by Greenlake, at the north end, just off today's I-5 off-ramp. Evelyn the Mom, was a stay-at-home mom. Sue had a sister, Ardith, who was older by about 5 years. Ardith was my sister's friend, and Sue was my friend. We used to go horse back riding together and belonged to the Evergreen Saddle Drifters Horse Club together which periodically met at Twin Benson's horse ring for horse shows. It was on what was back then called "Lunn Road". Ardith died as a young adult. She was dieting which was difficult, as Ardith was a big boned girl. She died in her sleep. The word was it was a result of the diet pills; so sad. I lost track of Sue after high school. Today, their little farm is the Country Village Shopping Center, on the Bothell Everett Highway, north of downtown Bothell, just north of Pleasant Lake RV Park and the old red barn (the old home of the "wayward" boys.)

She was a horse riding buddy of mine also.  She and Ardith were always winning ribbons at the horse shoes and playdays.  I rode in many events at Twin Bensens' .    Fun times .....RIP Sue
